Paulina Šperková

  • „I studied law in Kraków. I completed study programmes abroad in Tilburg and Kyiv, as well as supplementary studies in intellectual property protection at Jagiellonian University. I manage the Polish branch of V4 Group and V4 Legal — the law firm within our group.
  • I have been providing legal services to Slovak and Czech entrepreneurs for many years. It is somewhat personal — my husband is Slovak. Demand for lawyers, tax advisors and accountants who speak several languages and understand the regulations of multiple countries, and who can help entrepreneurs with foreign expansion, is enormous in our region. I decided to respond to it. In addition to Polish, I speak Slovak, Czech, English and Russian.“

JUDr. Mária Hanuliaková

  • I see the legal profession as a calling — to help and to find solutions even where they seem impossible or lost. Every new case is a challenge and a motivation for me. A client's recognition and gratitude are my greatest reward.
  • I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. As a student I already gained practical experience at the law firms AK PRESPERINOVA, s.r.o. and AKSK, s.r.o. After graduation I focused on bankruptcy and restructuring law and worked at the trustee company HMG Recovery, k.s. I subsequently joined V4 Legal, s.r.o., where I started as an associate, later became a senior attorney and currently serve as managing partner and attorney.
  • In my legal practice I specialise in commercial and civil law, in particular obligations, corporate law — mergers, acquisitions, including real estate law, bankruptcy and restructuring law.
  • I am also a bankruptcy trustee listed in the register kept by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. I communicate with clients in Slovak, English and Polish.

Mgr. Matej Michalec, LL.M

  • Matej has long focused on intellectual property law with a narrower specialisation in EU trademarks and designs. In addition to many routine registry operations, he has handled dozens of proceedings in which he successfully represented clients before the EUIPO in foreign-language disputes with international companies. Within his specialisation he also provides advice on cross-border management of complex trademark portfolios with a particular focus on China. His clients include a well-known Chinese mobile-phone manufacturer, one of the largest producers of printing products in Central Europe and a major Czech electronics brand.
  • Matej also addresses EU trademark topics in his publishing activities; his articles have appeared with prestigious international publishers such as Oxford University Press and C.H. Beck.
  • He studied at the Faculty of Law of Trnava University and at the University of Edinburgh School of Law in the Intellectual Property Law & Chinese programme. In China he completed a special exchange project focused on intellectual property. In the past he also worked at the European Patent Office (EPO) in Vienna and Munich.

Martin Letko

  • I advise clients on the implementation of complex investment projects and on their day-to-day business activities in the Central and Eastern European region. I specialise in supporting large infrastructure and industrial projects, including EPC-type projects in the chemical, energy and railway sectors. I also have extensive experience with M&A transactions and restructurings, contract law and corporate law.
  • I gained my professional experience in law firms in Poland and Slovakia, as well as serving as Head of Legal at ORLEN Unipetrol — an international petrochemical group based in the Czech Republic.
  • I studied law at Comenius University in Bratislava and completed postgraduate studies in capital market law at the University of Warsaw.
  • I speak Slovak, Polish, Czech and English.

JUDr. Monika Kľúčiková

  • After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Trnava University, she joined V4 Legal, s.r.o. in 2015 as a junior associate, and since 2021 she has been a cooperating attorney with V4 Legal, s.r.o.
  • In her practice Monika focuses primarily on commercial, civil, tax, employment and real estate law. She is motivated by bringing clients' legal matters to a successful conclusion, especially in the area of more complex and time-demanding projects such as cross-border mergers, change of legal form or development projects.
  • She provides legal services in Slovak, English and Polish. In communicating with clients, her core values are expertise, professionalism, finding the optimal solutions in the client's interest, and precision.

Mgr. Marek Chromjak

  • „I practise law also because I get a good feeling when, thanks to my work, a client manages to successfully defend their rights or enforce their claims before a court or other authorities — even in cases where the client themselves no longer expected such an outcome.“
  • My specialisation is representing clients in court and arbitration proceedings and leading the defence in criminal proceedings. In substantive law I focus mainly on real estate law, commercial law and sports law. I communicate in Slovak, English and Polish.
  • I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava. Already during my studies I gained work experience in another law firm, later at the administrative chamber of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, and for several years I have been cooperating as an attorney with the Slovak office of V4 Legal.

Jana Koňaříková

  • Jana is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava, which she completed in 2009. In 2016 she successfully completed studies in economics, accounting and auditing in accordance with IFRS standards and became a member of ACCA: the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. In 2018 she passed the financial-audit examinations administered by the Slovak Chamber of Auditors to obtain a licence for statutory audit.
  • Jana is an experienced external financial auditor with analytical skills and knowledge in the fields of accounting, taxes and managerial finance. She focuses on financial audits of the private business sector — in particular manufacturing companies, construction-sector companies and service providers — as well as the public sector.
  • Jana performs external financial audits in accordance with SK GAAP — Slovak accounting rules — as well as IFRS — International Financial Reporting Standards, used mainly by companies with foreign investment participation. In addition to statutory audits, she also performs accounting reviews and advisory work for new acquisitions or for changes in the ownership and organisational structure of companies, e.g. mergers or demergers.
  • Jana speaks English fluently at a working level.
Chief Accountant

Adela Smažáková

  • Adela is a graduate of the Grammar School in Turzovka, which she completed with a school-leaving examination in 1997. After school she worked as an assistant at a company in Bratislava. In 2006 she began to focus on accounting. She completed a double-entry bookkeeping course concluded with a certificate.
  • She has been employed at V4 Group since 2014; since 2016 she has held the position of Chief Accountant and head of the accounting office. She manages the operation of the office in Čadca.
  • Together with a team of 25 accountants and payroll specialists, she provides complete bookkeeping services, including the preparation of financial statements and payroll administration, for Slovak, Czech and Polish clients.
  • Adela provides accounting advice to clients and represents them in tax inspections before the tax authority and other institutions.
  • For new clients she negotiates the terms of cooperation, sets up the accounting software and provides instructions to the accountant who will continue handling the client's bookkeeping.

Michaela Suchoňová

  • Michaela studied at a secondary vocational school as a technical-economic specialist in Kysucké Nové Mesto. After school she began working as an assistant, invoice clerk and subsequently as an accountant. She completed several courses, starting with "Double-Entry Bookkeeping" at Agentúra Jaspis s.r.o., obtaining a certificate. She then enrolled in the "Accountant" course with Ing. Daniela Hrivíková Midaro, where she completed comprehensive training in single-entry bookkeeping, double-entry bookkeeping and payroll accounting, also concluded with a certificate. She has been actively working in accounting for 16 years, continuously building her qualifications through further accredited courses. In 2021 she completed the accredited Expert Accountant course at the Centre of Accountants of Slovakia, covering the modules Tax Laws in Practice, Double-Entry Bookkeeping and Annual Financial Statements of Legal Entities, and Payroll and HR. She continued in 2023 by completing the accredited Tax Specialist course, also at the Centre of Accountants of Slovakia.
  • She has been working at V4 Group since 2018, where her responsibilities mainly include processing the complete accounting agenda for clients — from setting up accounts, VAT processing, statistics, advisory work and supporting documents for banks, through to the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns. Since 2021 she has also handled Czech agendas, where she likewise manages full bookkeeping, VAT and the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
